saturday, april 30 2005 - Revlon 5K Run/Walk

This morning, I woke up at 6:30AM to get ready for the Revlon 5K Run/Walk. I was a part of the Columbia Women in Business (CWIB) team and had to meet the rest of the team at 8AM by the 50 St. train station. It was a dreary day and although we all had our cool t-shirts, everyone was wearing a jacket over it. It's like being dressed up for Halloween and then having to wear a jacket over your costume, kinda sucked.

But it was a great experience, so many people came out to participate. I walked the entire 5K with some other girls (Tami from Cluster B), and although it was raining and we could smell horse manure throughout the walk in Central Park, it was still fun. They released red and white confetti at the starting line which made the event quite festive!! Definitely worth it for charity! I also got a lot of water, tea, lunch from Au Bon Pain, the official Run/Walk t-shirt and some freebies from Revlon. I also raised $360!!! :) That was the coolest part of all. Standing in the subway on the way home, shivering in my wet shoes and socks, I still think it was a good way to spend a Saturday morning.

Friday - The Great Day Off

Granted this is a strange time for me to start a blog about business school, it is in the middle of the second finals week, and I am almost at the official end of my first year of school. I should have started earlier but well, I didn't know about blogger until my good friend curiouseyes.blogspot.com told me about her blog.

Also check out psychesdream.blogspot.com to learn more about me outside of school. There I will keep track of everything outside of school and my wedding planning progress.

Today, I plan to start studying for my Operations final, which is going to be on Monday. We will see if I actually have the willpower to actually take some action. My goal in my Leadership final paper was to improve my decision making skills by not overanalyzing and not procrastinating. To do so I need to set an action plan filled with specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound goals (SMART). I haven't even done that yet...so maybe my first action goal of the day should be... write down SMART goals...we'll see what happens.
